Everything you need to know about shipping your car from Dubai — answered.
We ship vehicles from Dubai to over 100 destinations worldwide by air, sea, and land. Sea shipments move by RoRo (roll-on/roll-off) or in a container, depending on the vehicle and route. For high-value, exotic, or classic cars we can arrange enclosed and specialised handling. See our full car shipping services for details.
Typical transit times once a vehicle is collected and cleared for export:
These are estimates only and can vary with customs clearance, sailing schedules, and destination procedures.
Yes. We keep you updated throughout the journey and provide tracking and status updates from collection to delivery, so you always know where your vehicle is.
RoRo is usually the most cost-effective option for standard running vehicles. A container offers added protection and is preferred for luxury, classic, or modified cars, and lets you ship in an enclosed environment. Learn more about sea freight options, or we'll recommend the best fit for your vehicle and destination when we quote.
Yes. We handle inoperable and auction-purchased vehicles using specialised loading equipment and careful handling throughout the journey.
We regularly ship to Europe (including Germany, France, the Netherlands, and Albania), the United Kingdom, the USA and Canada, and across the GCC and wider Middle East (including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, and Syria). See our full coverage map — and if you don't see your destination, just ask.
Our doorstep service coordinates collection in Dubai and delivery to the final address at destination, alongside the shipping and clearance steps in between. True door-to-door delivery is available to most European countries; check our coverage for your destination. Elsewhere we deliver to the port or terminal and can advise on the best onward option.
Yes — these are a core part of what we do. We offer enclosed transport, careful handling, and secure storage designed to protect high-value and collector vehicles at every stage. You can also book a pre-purchase inspection before you buy.
The usual paperwork includes:
You can find the relevant paperwork in our downloads & forms section, and we guide you through the full checklist step by step.
The RTA export certificate officially de-registers your vehicle for export from the UAE and is required before shipping. We can assist with obtaining it as part of the export process. The forms you may need are available in our downloads & forms section.
Import duties, VAT, and any other governmental or destination charges are the responsibility of the customer. Our quotation covers the services stated in it; destination duties and taxes are billed separately by the relevant authorities. We're happy to give you general guidance on what to expect for your destination.
A vehicle must be fully owned and free of any finance, lease, lien, or outstanding fines before it can be exported. If your car is financed, you'll need a clearance or no-objection letter from the finance provider first. We can advise on the requirements.
A Carnet de Passage en Douane (CPD), sometimes called a trip ticket, is a customs document that allows you to take your vehicle temporarily across international borders. Through our Carnet de Passage service we can apply for it on your behalf and then handle the transport. Approval and any refundable deposit are set by the issuing authority.
Some destination countries allow limited personal effects inside the vehicle and others do not. Where items are permitted, they travel entirely at the owner's risk — we don't inspect, inventory, or insure personal belongings. Please check with us for destination-specific guidance before loading anything.
Yes. Our warehousing & insurance service provides secure, monitored storage in Dubai for vehicles awaiting export or collection. Vehicles delivered to our facility receive a complimentary storage period, after which a daily storage fee applies until the vehicle ships or is collected. Optional services such as battery trickle charging, car covers, and periodic engine starts are available on request.
Absolutely. Our storage facility is well suited to classic, vintage, and exotic vehicles, with secure, monitored storage and optional preservation services to keep collector cars in top condition.
Insurance is an optional add-on, not automatically included. If you'd like marine/transit cover, let us know in advance and we'll arrange it through a UAE-licensed insurer for an additional premium. See our warehousing & insurance page for more. Without confirmed, paid insurance, the vehicle travels at the owner's risk.
When arranged, cover is provided under the insurer's policy and typically protects against risks such as theft, fire, and accidental damage in transit. The exact scope, exclusions, and any deductible are set by the policy. We'll share the details before you confirm so you know precisely what's covered.
Notify us in writing as soon as possible, and within 7 days of delivery, with photographs and a description of the issue. Where insurance is in place, we'll help you initiate and coordinate the claim with the insurer. The claims process is set out in our Terms of Service, and prompt written notice with supporting evidence is important for any claim to proceed.
Vehicles must be mechanically sound and free of leaks to travel. If a fault, fluid leak, or unsafe condition is found at any point during handling or transit, the shipment may be paused for safety and to meet carrier and port requirements. Any resulting movement, repair, and re-handling costs are billed to the customer, and admin fees may apply. The vehicle re-joins the shipment once it's been made safe and the related charges are settled.
We accept credit and debit cards (Visa and Mastercard), bank transfer to our UAE business account, and cash in AED within UAE legal limits. We do not accept cryptocurrency or instalment/BNPL services.
Yes. We can take a deposit or partial payment to confirm a booking, with the balance due before dispatch, customs, or delivery unless we've agreed otherwise in writing.
Your quote depends on the vehicle (type and size), the shipping method (air, sea RoRo or container, or land), and the destination. Try our cost estimator for an instant estimate, or request a quote and we'll provide a clear breakdown of what's included.
Quotes are based on the exchange rates, carrier tariffs, and surcharges in effect on the quotation date. We may revise a quote before booking if those costs change materially. Once a booking is confirmed, the agreed price holds, aside from third-party or governmental charges that are billed at cost.
Yes — cancellations must be made in writing. Depending on how far the process has progressed (documentation, collection, loading, or carrier booking), cancellation and admin fees may apply, and any non-refundable third-party costs already incurred remain payable. See our Terms of Service for the specifics.
Refunds are assessed case by case. A refund (less any applicable admin fee) may be available if no third-party services have been engaged and the export process hasn't started. Once export processing, document issuance, customs clearance, or carriage has begun, the service is treated as underway and refunds no longer apply. Overpayments are returned as a credit note. Full details are in our Terms of Service.
Yes. All bookings are governed by our Terms of Service, which cover client responsibilities, liability, insurance, claims, storage, payments, and refunds. We recommend reading them before booking.
